Privacy Policy

Faith King (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is operated by Jermaine Daniel (“Developer”). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Faith King iOS app.

Summary

Faith King is designed to help you build a daily prayer and Bible reading habit. Most of your data stays on your device. We do not sell your personal information.

Information we collect

• On-device app data: prayer and reading task progress, streaks, journal entries, onboarding preferences, and app-lock settings you choose. This is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple frameworks (including SwiftData and App Group storage shared with Screen Time extensions).
• Screen Time selections: apps and categories you choose to block are processed through Apple’s Family Controls / Screen Time APIs. We do not receive a list of your installed apps on our servers.
• Subscriptions: purchases are processed by Apple. We receive subscription status through StoreKit to unlock paid features. We do not collect or store your payment card details.
• AI features: when you use reflections, prayer suggestions, journal insights, or verse recommendations, text you provide may be sent to AI services to generate a response. On supported devices, Apple on-device intelligence may be used first. Otherwise, Google Gemini via Firebase AI Logic may process your prompt. Do not enter sensitive personal information you do not want processed by these providers.
• Notifications: if you enable notifications, Apple’s notification service delivers daily verse and reminder alerts. Notification preferences are stored on your device.

Information we do not collect

• We do not require an account or email to use Faith King.
• We do not track which third-party apps you open outside of Apple’s Screen Time shield system.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

How we use information

• Provide daily faith tasks, streaks, and app locking
• Generate optional AI-assisted devotional content
• Validate subscription access
• Send optional local/scheduled notifications you approve

Third-party services

• Apple: App Store, StoreKit, Screen Time / Family Controls, Device Activity, notifications, and on-device AI (when available)
• Google Firebase / Gemini: cloud AI generation when on-device AI is unavailable (subject to Google’s Privacy Policy)

Data retention

On-device data remains until you delete the app or reset related data on your device. AI providers may retain prompts according to their own policies when cloud generation is used.

Children’s privacy

Faith King is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

• Deny or revoke Screen Time, notification, or other permissions in iOS Settings
• Manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple ID → Subscriptions
• Delete the app to remove locally stored data

Security

We use Apple platform security, App Groups for extension communication, and industry-standard practices for subscription validation. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect changes. Continued use of the app after updates means you accept the revised policy.
