Birthday Circle (“the App”) is developed by Jermaine Daniel (“we”, “us”). This policy explains how the App handles information.

Summary

We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. Birthday Circle is designed to work entirely on your device. There are no accounts, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party advertising trackers.

Information stored on your device

The App stores the following locally on your iPhone:

This information never leaves your device through our servers — we do not operate a backend for the App.

Photos

If you grant photo library access, selected photos are used only to display avatars inside the App (and initials/emoji when no photo is set). Photos remain on your device and are not uploaded to us.

Notifications

With your permission, the App schedules local notifications for birthday reminders. These are delivered by Apple’s operating system on your device. We do not receive copies of notification content or delivery reports.

Widgets & App Groups

The Birthday Circle widget reads birthday data from a shared App Group container on your device so it can show upcoming birthdays. That sharing happens only between the App and its widget extension on the same device.

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children. You may use it to remember family birthdays, including children’s, with data stored only on your device.

Third parties

The App does not include third-party analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or social login SDKs.

Data deletion

Delete any person inside the App to remove their record. Uninstalling Birthday Circle removes the App’s local data from your device (including the widget snapshot in the App Group).

Changes

We may update this policy if the App’s privacy practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when that happens.
